Il all started from a pastime. Some of my friends made brooches using scraps of cloth so my cousin and I started to make roses and colored squares with scraps of cloth. This all was starting from her hands to create floral compositions, combined with our aesthetic taste.
I kept buying plastic materials and beads alone and, tested my skill, I started to make jewelry which were closer to architecture.
Drived by the search of new shapes and materials, I dived into the world of plastic. I tested neoprene, mosquito nets, carpets and then I moved on majolica tiles, glass tiles and everything I use in my job.
As I am daughter of rationalism, actually my works are influenced by essentiality improvement of materials. Those which are poorer, also lose them technical function to become jewelry. This is how a material used for other purposes becomes red coral, white coral or a gemstone, always keeping a very precise and linear scheme. I also trasformed old pendants which were forgotten or kept in a corner of the house, which placed on a different support, have had a new and original look.
